The Holocaust - We won't discuss the holocaust much in class, but we will visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington.   Check out Schindler's List (1993) (R), Sophie's Choice (1982), Jakob the Liar (1999), Triumph of the Spirit (1989), The Pianist (2002), and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (2008)  as well as many documentaries available.

World War II - There are many movies about World War II, including those made during the war itself.
