Imagine a meeting of the greatest collection of opponents to the institution of American slavery, all discussing their goals and rationale in a formal setting.  That’s what will take place on Monday when the Abolitionist Society Convention assembles and discusses an agenda of proposals.  While the Convention never actually took place, it will be an excellent method of learning about the varying perspectives on abolition.

In order to prepare for the Convention, you will be presented with a role, provided with a reading about the Abolition Movement, research your background, create an online biography for your individual, and discover which people you may see as an ally.  The weekend will allow you to prepare for Monday’s Convention, as the agenda will be proposed on Friday.
