Unit 2 Extra Credit Movies

Man of the Year (2006) - Directed by Barry Levinson. With Robin Williams, Christopher Walken, Laura Linney. A comedian who hosts a news satire program decides to run for president, and a computerized voting machine malfunction gets him elected. The electorsal college is part of the movie, making it a bit applicable for our Unit 2 studies.

John Adams (2007) - Starring Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney. This seven part mini-series, based on David McCullough's Pulitzer Prize winning book, chronicles the adult life of John Adams. Episodes 4,5,6, and 7 are all appropriate for our studies in Unit 2. The miniseries is awesome!

PBS has some great documentaries for this unit, including Rediscovering George Washington, Jefferson's Blood, Alexander Hamilton, The Duel, and Ken Burns' Thomas Jefferson and Lewis and Clark
