Reviewing the Constitutional Convention

Wow - isn't the Constitutional Convention a fun activity?  I hope you are enjoying it.  In order to review our re-enactment, you should read Chapter 8 Section 2 in Creating America.  As you review, you should become very familiar with the ideas and terms listed below.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WRITE OUT ANY ANSWERS - but this material will all appear on your first test on Monday!

Why was a convention called in Philadelphia in 1787?

Who were the key delegates to the convention?  What were their expectations?

What were the provisions of the Virginia Plan, the New Jersey Plan, and the Great Compromise?

How did the new constitution deal with the issue of slavery?

What did the new constitution say about the regulation of trade?
