Social Studies Department

The philosophy of the Middle School Social Studies Department is that young adults need a solid foundation in the social studies in order to become productive and active participant in their community, nation, and world. 

Our goals are to foster:

Literacy in the various social sciences, including history, geography, political science, and economics.

Creative and critical thinking along with the communication skills needed to express that thinking.

Understanding of various perspectives and their importance in human relationships.
