All students in grades 5 -7 will develop and maintain an
artist's binder as an integral part of their art education classes. The
binders enhance creativity and allow students to develop their skills both
in the classroom and on
an individual basis. Students will use his/ her art binder to record
important art history facts, define new art vocabulary, generate preliminary
sketches for classroom projects and complete quarterly drawing assignments. Binders will be graded on a point system that will vary each quarter based on the material covered. Any missing notes, vocabulary, drawing assignments etc.. will result in missing points. Drawing assignments are posted on my website and are given specific due dates at the beginning of each quarter. An overall grade will be given at the end of each quarter. Art binders will account for 10% of your overall quarter grade.
