Grade 7 Sketchbook Assignments |
| Quarter 4: |
| Assignment # 7 - "Oh the thinks you can think!" |
|
You've gotta use your imagination for this one! Your job is to create your own, ORIGINAL character in the style of Dr. Seuss. You may click on the links below to explore some of his characters, but you must think of your own idea. One place to start is to begin with an animal and find ways to distort the form or combine another animal with it. For example, taking a giraffe and shortening his legs and neck, or combining a turtle shell with a fish. BE CREATIVE, ORIGINAL and UNIQUE. All drawings must be colored (markers, crayons, watercolor, colored pencils, pastels etc...)and you should include an original name for your character or a sentence describing your character in the Dr. Seuss style. Drawings that demonstrate good craftsmanship and creativity will be put on display and used as posters for the spring musical. |
