Web Page Design
Course Information:
In this semester long computer elective, we will explore the many software concepts associated with building and designing web pages. At the start of the semester, we'll work with HTML to build simple web pages through code. This will give us a solid foundation for working with the sophisticated web page editing software that we'll be working with throughout the semester. DreamWeaver will be the primary page editing tool, but we'll also so some work with FrontPage. For editing and creating web graphics, we'll work with Paint Shop Pro 7 and FireWorks MX. We'll also have the opportunity to experiment with Flash as a way to create dynamic elements and movies for our web pages.
This is a "Pass-Fail" class, so you will not receive a letter grade that impacts your grade point average in this class. However, you must earn a quality grade in this class to receive a "Passing" grade on your report card. All projects will be graded as if this were a graded class. Assignments will be weighted as follows:
