Video Editing on a PC (ie-computer running the Windows Operating System)

While we teach our MS Video Editing elective classes on Macintosh computers, many of the concepts remain the same no matter what kind of software and computer you are using.  I realize that most people do not own a Mac, so here are my recommendations for editing video and authoring DVDs without a Mac.

For editing video on a PC, I would recommend Roxio's Video Wave 5 Power Edition.  This is a powerful and affordable solution to editing video on a PC.  It also comes with a DVD authoring/burning component as well.  Consider adding ULead DVD Factory for more sophisticated DVD authoring.  Roxio Video Wave will cost a reasonable $99.00 while ULead DVD Factory is $45.
