Planning Your
Movie:
- Titles and text-begin your project with a title card and end with some
type of credits card. You may elect to use titling throghout your video as
well.
- Sound FX
- Lines and Scripts-Prepare these ahead of time...this is perhaps the most
important part of this entire project!!! If you put quality work in on
the front end, you're more likely to end up with a quality piece later on.
- Plan scenes and shots with a
storyboard
Creative ways to
put the piece together:
- Plan lots of close-up shots with short spoken lines
- Use a variety of cuts/shots in the same scene.
- Use many different camera positions and creative camera shots
- Use props!
Shooting the Video
- Be Prepared...know your lines and have your props on the day we're
scheduled to film.
- Incorporate many different camera positions and creative shots as
possible.
- No Zooming! Get physically close to your subject when shooting.
Editing
- Keep bells and whisltes to a minimum.
