Wildcat Mountain Bikers are Back!  Fall 2002
Members of the Wildcat Mountain Bike Club enjoyed three solid rides during the fall of 2002.  We started the fall riding season by attending the Fall Color Mountain Bike Festival at the John Muir trails in the Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest.  After a 6 mile ride on some of the most challenging sections of trail in southeastern Wisconsin, club members spent the rest of the day enjoying the weather and the festivities at the annual Fall Color Festival.
In October the club trekked up to the Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest to ride the fast, wide open trails at Greenbush.  Alterra Coffee Mountain Bike race team member Gregg Duckett joined us for a great ride in the brisk autumn temps.  Following the ride, club members stopped by the Parnell observation tower and climbed to the top to enjoy the great view.
Our final ride of the fall season up to the New Fane trail in the Kettle Moraine State Forest.  This time we were joined by Alterra Mountain Bike team member Roger Vilmow.  After riding the outer loop at the trail, the four club members who joined us for the ride did a time trial of the .9 mile brown loop.  Max turned in the fastest time at 3 min 3 sec.
Spring Ride to New Fane
Club members found themselves at the New Fane trail for the final ride of the 2003-2004 school year.  This time Mr. Bach joined us for our fat tire excursion at our favorite dirt trail.  After several loops on the roller coaster-like terrain of New Fane and after Mr. Bach snapped his chain, club members enjoyed a wonderful cookout put together by Mr. Haubert and Mr. Ulricsson.  It was a great way to end a wonderful year of mountain biking!
