Beautiful Breath Doggy Toothpaste Company

7 Hound Haven Lane
Pet Products, OK  89767

Dear Sir or Madam:

In your advertisements for Beautiful Breath Doggy Toothpaste, you indicate that owners will notice a dramatic improvement in their pet’s breath within two days of using your product.  Our family has noticed, after three weeks of diligent brushing, that our dog still smells.  We would like you to honor your money back guarantee for a number of reasons.

When we saw your advertisement on the Pet Products TV channel, we were thrilled.  You see, our dog Hally has had atrocious breath for years.  She makes skunks run away, and she can peel wallpaper off of walls.  We had resorted to clothes pinning our noses, but when we saw your ad, we thought we were saved.  We bought this toothpaste because he love our Hally, and our parents said we would need to give her away if we do not find a way to improve her halitosis.  Another reason we wanted to buy your product was the fact that the testimonials from dozens of pet owners were so complimentary.  We couldn’t believe it when the owner of a dachshund said that she uses her dog’s breath as air freshener.  Finally, we bought Beautiful Breath toothpaste, because you offered the money back guarantee.  We figured we didn’t have anything to lose by trying it.

Having used Beautiful Breath Doggy Toothpaste for the last three weeks, three times a day, for a minimum of 15 minutes each time, we feel like we are experienced enough to provide you with some suggestions about how to improve your product.  First, it’s really runny.  We had a hard time making it stay on the toothbrush, and many times we ended up with more toothpaste on the floor than in Hally’s mouth.  Could you thicken it up a little bit?  Also, the apple blossom flavor may substitute nicely for room freshener, but Hally hated the taste of it.  She loves to eat fish and beef-flavored treats, so she might have been more willing to have her teeth cleaned if the toothpaste had been more tasty.  Finally, the purple coloring used in the paste leaves stains when your dog shakes her head and splatters it on the walls and the carpet, because she hates it.  Would it be possible to change the color to white, or figure out a way for it not to stain?

Thank you for hearing our thoughts.  We look forward to hearing from you about our suggestions, and more importantly, receiving our refund check for $19.95 plus postage.

Sincerely,
